This is as close to driving a real race car as you can get, only it’s your size! So put on your safety gear and learn the basics of safe driving...things you can use when you start driving for real! Drive your own car yourself through a slalom course, practice throttle-steer...and have the time of your life as you learn what it’s like to try to qualify on a track! After you’re done on the track, get ready for more seat time as you strap yourself in again and drive the coolest off-road go karts in the dirt for another exciting motorsport experience! ...and just when you didn't think camp could get any better, head off to your next cool camp activity, like taking a dip in the pool, fishing, playing sports & games...and a whole lot more!!! |

Camp Motorsport is a unique race car driving sports specialty summer camp where campers participate in hands-on racing education at a real, live racetrack!
Campers live in air conditioned dorms on-site at VIRginia International Raceway nestled on 1300 acres of rolling hills & woods, complete with fishing pond, swimming pool, and playing fields in the Virginia countryside!
EVERY CAMPER DRIVES EVERY DAY!and also enjoys the fun activities of a traditional summer camp such as sports, swimming in the pool...and more!

Camp Motorsport is for girls & boys at all experience levels, from never-evers to those with many hours behind the wheel! No drivers license or prior experience is required.
Ages of campers are between age 8 through age 16, depending on the program session.
Campers are placed on age level teams so that driving activities are appropriate for each driver. Each camper drives half-scale race cars and off-road go karts themselves.
Sessions lengths vary:
- 1/2 week sessions
- 1-week sessions
- 2-week sessions
- Adult/Child weekend programs

The camp’s program focus is on driving and racing education, using curriculum designed to help kids become better, safer drivers. Instruction focuses on precision, defensive driving, and confidence building, with campers learning to apply good car control techniques. The camp program teaches kids how to be good drivers for their future, regular day-to-day street driving, beyond whatever they might do in racing....
